Creative idea:
Uklon, leading Ukrainian ridehailing service, celebrates its 15th anniversary: from a local startup to Ukraine’s lovemark, serving monthly millions of riders and uniting over 100,000 driver partners on its platform. Business, like life, is full of challenges, especially in Ukraine. But Uklon was never afraid to face them, and its key driving force was: those who are using the company's products, and those who are behind these products. To celebrate this milestone, Uklon skipped the typical commercial and composed a heartfelt love letter to its driver partners. We learned that a famous Ukrainian filmmaker Antonio Lukich had his own challenge while filming his first feature film My Thoughts Are Silent, when the Uklon delivered the forgotten prop, a special feather symbolizing hope, to the set, which was important for the final scene filmed in the church. So, we invited Antonio to create a short film, telling his story in a funny, but emotional way, his signature style. In this short film, the Uklon driver, nearly losing the “lightest rider,” overcame every obstacle to save the final scene. This short story conveys a sense of uplift: because together we can overcome any hardship, and the depth of joy is measured by the depth of sorrow. We hope that the story of Uklon’s role, as captured by Antonio Lukich, will inspire everyone to remember their own moments of small joys and of overcoming challenges alongside Uklon.
